Welcome to the Engineering Practices Working Group's System Engineer  Subgroup's section of the Energy Facility Contractors Group's Knowledge Portal.

The System Engineer Subgroup (SESG) was chartered to promote additional focus on the management of Vital Safety Systems (VSS) across the Department of Energy (DOE) complex. The purpose of this Knowledge Portal is to provide a vehicle to allow members of the System Engineer community to keep abreast of the latest System Engineer related news, issues, and events across the DOE complex; for the sharing of innovative ideas and practices; and to collaborate virtually on the development and implementation of new System Engineering practices and processes.
