Analysis of EFCOG Electrical Safety Charts for
January 2009
SC Program Office did achieve a decreasing trend
(greater than 10 of 11 months below average) for 08J Electrical
Near Miss. However, December came in with two reports in the
same month and January 2009 a further report. A decision to
baseline the chart to a zero rate is being deferred until more
data are available.
NA Program Office has had a new baseline average
established for its Electrical Events charts, following the
decreasing trend noted last month.
All other charts are stable on their current
baselines.
“A3B2C02 - Signs to stop were ignored and step
performed incorrectly” has remained in first place as the
leading cause of 08J electrical near misses over the past 12
months. “A4B3C11 - Inadequate work package preparation” and
“A4B3C08 Job Scoping did not identify special circumstances
and/or conditions are now tied with A3B2C02 for first place.
