Analysis of EFCOG Electrical Safety Charts
for November 2009
The overall number of
Electrical Events reports was close to the Upper Control Limit
for September with 18 reports.
October and November did come in
closer to baseline, each with 13 reports, so this has not
tripped the criteria for a trend.
Electrical Shocks (08A) for All DOE have been above average for
seven months in a row.
This is a significant increasing
trend.
SC Program Office charts
are stable.
Electrical Near Miss (08J) did come
in close to the UCL, and another month similar to this in
December or January will cause a trend to be declared.
NA Program Office 08A Electrical Shocks have a
significant increasing trend with November above the UCL, and
both October and November more than two standard deviations
above average.
NA 08J Electrical Near
Misses were close to the UCL in November.
Another month similar to this in
December or January will cause a trend to be declared.
EM Program Office charts
have returned to previous baselines.
EM appears to have recovered from
the trends of three to four months ago .
All other charts are stable on their current
baselines.
Check of Work was Less than Adequate
(A3B1C01) has moved into first place over the past 12 months as
the leading cause of events.
