Minutes from the 4/26 Continuous Improvement conference call
Conference callers shared a lively discourse regarding the need for a newsletter. A quarterly issuance was suggested to exchange ideas and examples of productive
work in terms of what tools work, problems encountered etc.
Mike suggested that it would be helpful to share tools: procedures and checklists.
Some relevant discussion regarding the evolution of the order was offered. In a polite way it was suggested that the Order, Guide and Handbook have not really
evolved in recent years. Continuous Improvement needs to be a focal point. Continuous Improvement needs the eyes of an expert.
There is a lot of personal contact information on the website that should probably be password protected.
We should encourage the use of the discussion forum on the website. Its been helpful to those who have used it.
Next Workshop-Suggested Presentations:
- Practitioners (how is the objective accomplished)
- How is ORR type activity performed outside DOE
- How did we get here….what is the history
